I've had a couple great mail days. Here are some of my favs that popped up there. The pc is from Linda Giese. On the other side is the end of the sentence "box of insecurities". Anitra's circus

My good friend Bobbi ordered this little goodie from an Etsy shop. It was made by Anitra Williams-Fitz in Florida. Isn't it cute? It's sitting above my desk. Thanks Bobbi for finding it and Anitra for your cleverness in putting it together.

The clown - revisited

Here are a couple of variations of the clown face I did a couple weeks ago. I played with it digitally to get these effects. Part of doing that exercise is to see if I want to make changes with paint. Or leave it as is, and make the changes in PhotoShop.

He isn't meant to be scary, just sad.

I've been playing with circus themes lately. These are a few of the post cards I made to send out.

Stamp carving - profiles

I've been sort of obsessed with profiles lately. I'll be doing something more with them soon, but for today, I thought I'd carve some profile stamps. I also added another clown to my circus stamps. These were all erasers.

Send in the clowns

I"m working on a series of circus inspired post cards. I needed a piece to work o n at the Senior Center where a group paints together. So I decided to paint a clown face. I layered on masking tape coated it with a light layer of liquid gesso, and then drew on the face with charcoal. A little colored pencil and some liquid acrylic paint (titan buff) and I had a face. Here he is. I've made some minor changes since this was taken, but essentially this is it.
